Infineon Raceway will give new meaning to the term "speed reading" with its Family Fun Pack ticket for the Armed Forces 250 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series race on Saturday, Aug. 23.
This end-of-summer treat includes two adult tickets and two children's tickets for Saturday, Aug. 23, and a copy of "Racing Through the Alphabet," a racing-themed children's book written by race-car driver and Auburn resident Scott Pruett, and his wife, Judy.
Scott Pruett, who is the current points leader in the premier Daytona Prototype class with six victories, will also join his wife, Judy, for a special book reading on Saturday. Young readers will pick up their book at the reading, and have a chance to have it autographed by the authors. All for just $75.
"Racing Through the Alphabet" is the fourth book published by the Pruetts, who began writing racing-themed books in 1999. The Pruetts have three children of their own.
Families will enjoy plenty of on-track action on Saturday, Aug. 23, including qualifying for the IndyCar® Series, the Carneros 100 Firestone Indy Lights race, and the Grand-Am Armed Forces 250 main event. Action returns on Sunday, Aug. 24, with the PEAK Antifreeze & Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County for the IndyCar Series.
